About the Author

Philip Brewster is a retired infantry officer and defense analyst. He was raised on a farm in northeast Kansas and educated at West Point. He has written and edited NATO and US joint force doctrine, military history curriculum and has instructed at the Army Command and General Staff College.
Philip has a passion for Civil War history and has studied and walked the ground of the long war for Kansas since childhood. He lives with his wife in Overland Park, Kansas; their three adult daughters live nearby. Mr Brewster is available for speaking engagements; inquiries are welcome.
